One of the leading companies in the beverage industry, Coca-Cola is now placing QR codes on its products in order to strengthen its place in the mobile world while also connecting with their audience on a deeper level.
These icons are featured on Coca-Cola products, including Fanta, Sprite, Powerade, Minute Maid, and Georgia Coffee, in Spain. When consumers scan the QR code, they are able to view UEFA’s Euro 2012 videos and Coca-Cola SmileWorld.
In order to promote this campaign, Coca-Cola has decided to create a television commercial that shows how to scan the figure and what types of things can be found.
Coca-Cola has created quite a presence in the mobile world and they are constantly looking to further their digital presence. Their most recent campaigns included mobile banner ads featured in the TV Guide iPhone app that led consumers to their Facebook page and using music to target teenagers which allowed them to connect with the Olympic Games.
These QR codes are allowing the company to engage with their customers in a new and exciting way.
